Entry 1 Draft 2
The effects of social media on health have been a major topic in recent years due to its largely unknown long term consequences. The topic is newer and can be discussed in a variety of ways depending on ones opinion and familiarity with the idea at hand. It is found to be very interesting by many because it combines the publics interest in social media and personal health. Some argue that social media is helpful to society and has many positive effects. Others state that social media is harmful to the public and has many negative effects on both mental and physical health. I think that social media has a positive influence on health but am interested to see how others feel about the situation and what can be learned. However it is seen, it is a new topic that is in much debate because of its connections to human health and interactions.

ReplyDeleteI am not exactly sure what your line of inquiry is. Is your question what are the effects of social media on health or how does social media have on health. As a member of your audience I personally feel that social media puts to much emphasis on being thin. Thin does not automatically mean healthy. I have been thin all my life, not because I eat right and exercise but genetics.... so I just heard from across the room that your actual topic is about mental health... you might want to clarify this in this entry. I honestly don't know how the media effects mental health but I would like to find out how especially since my major is psychology.
ReplyDeleteHow exactly does social media and health relate? Why do you or (your research) believe media to have a negative impact on health? Include personal accounts and experience on your findings. :-)
